Singing As One - Being The Church

Joseph Morrow - August 07, 2017

Sunday's Songs
Let Your Kingdom Come
All Hail The Power
My Hope Is Built
Come What May
In Christ Alone

I want to express to you church what a joy and honor it is to worship with you. I also want you all to know how encouraged the praise team and our pastor are by the resounding melody that fills the bowling alley on Sunday mornings when we sing as one! I want you to know how encouraged we are when we look up and see you worshiping our Lord & King with zeal. May He lead our worship in spirit and truth. As we submit to His lead, we will—no doubt—become better encouragers of one another.

So let us tune all our attention, affection, desire & willing obedience --by His grace--on Jesus: the center Piece of the universe, the center Peace of our worship.

Thank you brethren for your faithfulness. Thank you for setting examples of what it looks like to be Christ-centered men, women, fathers, husbands, mothers, wives, and families. Thank you for encouraging me with your lives & your words: "You will know them by their fruit!"

I pray that I may encourage you as much as you encourage me. Thank you church! As brother Logan taught us with such clarity, by the grace of the Holy Spirit:

Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. -Romans 12.9-21

Let us strive for this, South Church, all the more as we see the Day drawing near! (Hb10.25)

For the glory of our God and King, I am eager to worship with you,

Joseph
