Before I get into details about our upcoming Christmas Eve services, I wanted to share a quick report from Elyse about last Saturday's Mother's Day Out lunch:
May the Lord bless everyone who participated in the Mother's Day Out lunch last weekend, especially the volunteers & coordinators!
Restore outreach ministries on Christmas Eve will take place either before or after our Christmas Eve Service. Please check with your Restore leader for times & details. If you're not a part of a Restore family but would like to participate in bringing Christmas cheer to First Responders--including EMTs & firefighters at the fire station, and nurses & doctors at the hospital--please give Restore leaders Chuck or Brad a call. Their contact info is available online in the Church Directory.
As I write this article, Chuck Dobson is leading an outreach to Gillespie County families with incarcerated members at the county jail. For the many of you who have donated toward or supported this gift-giving ministry in some way, THANK YOU! At the risk of forgetting some, I hesitate to name names, but I wanted to especially thank Chuck & Valerie for heading this up, and Elyse & Laura for their sacrificial service as well. They're planning to sing some Christmas songs and talk about the gift of Jesus, the Giver of all good gifts! May the Christmas party bless these children and their families.
I'm looking forward to celebrating the birth of God's Son with you Monday night, on Christmas Eve, at Suite 100! The candle light service of Scripture & song should begin at 7pm. Your friends & family are welcome to celebrate with us on December 24th, so bring as many with you as you can!
